HITS is a limited liability partnership (LLP) registered in Scotland with registered number SO301389. The two partners, Mrs Monica Lee-Macpherson and Miss Jeanice Lee, are both experienced working interpreters and translators.
Monica has been providing interpreting services in the Highlands and Moray for 17 years and has extensive knowledge of the Highland culture, workings of the different sectors and local systems. She is also actively involved in the Chinese community in the Highlands and Moray and is currently the Chairperson of the Scottish Highlands & Islands and Moray Chinese Association (SHIMCA).
Jeanice has been working in the public and voluntary sectors in Scotland for 13 years during which she spent 9 years working as a full-time interpreter and translator for a local authority. Over the last four years, she works as a management consultant specialising in organisational development in voluntary sector organisations.
We understand the problems and difficulties language barrier and break down in communication can cause in the service provision of public service providers and the operation of businesses, not to mention the daily lives of individuals who do not speak English. We are passionate about what we do and are committed to providing a professional service to our customers.
